Felix Rosales age 92 passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Hanford, CA. Felix was born on February 21, 1923 in Miami, Arizona to Eufemio & Juanita Caneles Rosales. Felix was every one's friend, big smile, big heart and a tremendous sense of humor. He left school to help his mother financially. A World War II Veteran, he served proudly in the US Army, 310th Field Artillery Battalion and 79th Infantry division.

Felix Rosales age 92 passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Hanford, CA. Felix was born on February 21, 1923 in Miami, Arizona to Eufemio & Juanita Caneles Rosales. Felix was every one's friend, big smile, big heart and a tremendous sense of humor. He left school to help his mother financially. A World War II Veteran, he served proudly in the US Army, 310th Field Artillery Battalion and 79th Infantry division.

He was in the reconnaissance missions behind enemy lines during the Normandy Campaign, France. Felix was awarded the Purple Heart, Medal of Conduct and the Cross of Lorraine, from the French government. The cross is a French resistance symbol meaning To Stand against Nazi Swastika.

Felix was a truck driver for the Fortier trucking, Fresno CA and other trucking companies for 50 years. After retirement he volunteered his time with Youth Sports Groups, especially baseball. He loved watching baseball.

Felix is survived by his devoted family and his wife Maria Carlota Rosales of Hanford, CA, daughter Dolores (Frank) Castro of Ventura, CA; son Steven (Leslie Simmons) Rosales of Morro Bay, CA. Grandchildren Dee Dee (Paul Shopnik) Castro, Frank (Kim) Castro, Chris (Shannon) Castro, Roseanne (Mack) Aldama, Joey Flores, Mark & Chris Ledesma & Elizabeth Stevenson and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church Hanford, CA 93230. A Graveside Service will take place with a the US Army Military Funeral Honors on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Bakersfield National Cemetery; 30338 E. Bear Mountain Boulevard, Arvin, CA 93203.
