March 1, 1931 - August 5, 2017

Our beloved matriarch, Maxine Ornellas, entered the gates of heaven and into the loving arms of her Lord and loved ones on August 5, 2017.

She was born Maxine Henrietta Pranger in Paragould, Arkansas, on March 1, 1931 to Mary and Merle Pranger. She was one of six children. In 1939 her family moved to California during the Dust Bowl. They settled in Caruthers. In 1946, she married Marvin Ryan, and shortly thereafter they moved to Fresno and had 4 children. She took a job with Wells Fargo, which eventually brought her to Hanford. Maxine retired from Wells Fargo as an Operations Officer after 25 years with the company. In more recent years, she also volunteered at St. Rose Thomas McCarthy as a teacher's aide for the Kindergarten class.

She loved children and had a hand in raising almost every child in her family. Her favorite thing was having her whole family get together for holidays where she would cook a myriad of food as only she could make. Her family was her life, and we were so fortunate to have her in ours.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Devonne & Gary Solley of Fresno, her son, Michael Ryan of Hanford, her daughter, LeAnn Ryan of Hanford, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Corwin of Fresno.

A Rosary Service and Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church; 1001 N. Douty St., Hanford.

The family is asking that everyone wear something "Pink" in honor of Maxine's favorite color.

Family and friends are invited to view Maxine's legacy at www.peoplesfuneralchapel.com and send condolences to the family.
